Cecilia Helenski, D.V.M. 
Practice Limited to Cardiology

Education: Attended the University of Rhode Island in the pre-veterinary program in the department of Agriculture and Animal Science. She graduated with her B.S. in Animal Science and continued her education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville obtaining a Master of Science degree in veterinary physiology. It was during her work at UT that she developed her interest in cardiology, completing a research study looking at the prevention of aortic thromboembolism in cats. After completing her Master’s Degree Dr. Helenski returned to New England to work for a year as a research associate at US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine in Natick, MA. It was during her time at USARIEM that she was accepted to the then new veterinary school at Tufts University in Boston, MA. Dr. Helenski received her DVM degree from Tufts in 1985 and did a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine in Stillwater, OK.  From Oklahoma the next step was a residency in small animal cardiology and respiratory medicine at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL.  After one year she transferred to the University of Pennsylvania to finish her residency. Upon finishing her residency program Dr. Helenski was accepted to a one-year fellowship at Temple University Medical School studying the role of inflammation in venous thrombosis.

Jacqueline Wilhelmy, M.S., V.M.D.
Practice Limited to Behavior

Education: Dr. Wilhelmy completed her undergraduate work in biochemistry at the University of Pennsylvania, and went on finish a Master’s degree in Chemistry. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, and remained to pursue an internship and then a residency in veterinary behavioral medicine. She has treated feline and canine patients presented for separation anxiety, compulsive behavior, inappropriate elimination, affective aggression, environmental phobia, predatory behavior, thunderstorm and noise fear, and generalized anxiety disorder. Dr. Wilhelmy has also spent time with the New Bolton Center's Section of Reproduction Behavior, as well as the MJR-VHUP’s Exotics Service, learning about the behavior of other domestic and wild species.

Interests: Learning about real world applications of behavior modification. She has taught agility and basic manners at a local dog training club, Y2K9s. Although she has dabbled in herding and continues to enjoy recreational canicross, her true passion is dog agility.

Pets: two Border Collies, Mer and Obi, who amusingly have more letters after their names than she does.


Dr. Amy Koterbay
Practice Limited to Oncology

Education: Dr. Koterbay in board certified in oncology and earned her BVMS from the University of Glasgow in 2006. She completed a small animal rotating internship in 2009 at a private practice in Pennsylvania. With the support of this private practice she completed a medical oncology resident at Michigan State University in 2012. Dr Koterbay started working at University College Dublin in 2017, after 6 years in private practice. She currently is a member of Veterinary Cancer Society and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. In addition to medical oncology, she has a strong interest in end of life care.

Interests: Travel and photography. I've been to 42 countries so far and working to see 100!
